I am looking for info. regarding 'eye fishing on Erie in late July or August. Is there still a good bite at that time? Which part of the lake is a good bet then? Is it generally a trolling bite, jigging, etc.? I am looking at booking a trip out of the Central Basin at that time and want to know if it is a good idea or not. Thanks.

Your time is great for the Central Basin. The fish in the Fairport Harbor/Ashtabula area will be turned on. If we have weather like last year the fishing on the sandbar out of Vermilion/Lorain will be good. I know a couple of Charters in the area.
