Anybody know where to get these, mail order or internet? Been looking all over and come up blank. Even tried Matzuo's site but it has been down for several days.

Do you mean a flat head jig, or an aspirin head jig poured on a Matzuo sickle hook? I have not seen a flat head jig available commercially, but I make them for myself and my customers. I believe they make an aspirin head jig with the hooks, but I don't know where. The hooks are available from Cabela's, Stamina, and Barlows. Please post if you find these available commercially, I would like to take a look at them. If you can't find them, I would be happy to make you some. I could send you a couple samples and see if you like them. Email me if you're interested. SMSRSS@netzero.net put jigs in the "re" line.

Yes, meant a flat head with the sickle. Check the link below, and what I'm looking for is in the style of the white jig on the bottom of the page. Ingeneral I'm wanting relatively low weight with a disproportionately large size hook. I believe the 1/4 oz in this style is paired with a 3/0 hook. Looking for something to match with 4-5 inch shad swim bait tails for pike/walleye. I don't know what the proper name for that style head is. I'll email you later if you think you can replicate that style. Thanks.

Nope, don't have that head design. Believe that is called a minnow head jig, but not sure. If you go to the Do-It mold page (Just type in Do-It molds on Google, I don't have the URL) and look at the designs there it will show you the different head designs and names. I have flatheads, roundheads, live bait heads, banana heads, football heads, tip-up heads, stand-up heads, walleye heads, and teardrop heads. I can pour some of these with oversized hooks. I like to use a 3/0 hook on my 1/4 oz. roundheads when rigging large twisters or shads. I also go to a 630 style hook when rigging very large (4"-5") shads. This hook is stronger and longer. BTW-if looking for a source for shads try www.action-plastics.com Good luck, and email me if interested.

The guys at Gopher Tackle will make you their Mushroom heads special order on a 3/0 Gami or Owner hook. I use the 2/0 on four inch baits.

The phone number for Matzuo is 720-941-9400. They have those jigs in stock. I can't remember the name of the jig and I don't have my catalog with me. Just ask them to look up that In-Fish web site and they can take care of you. BTW awsome hook.
I have three packs of the jigs in front of me (only one of which the weight is listed on it), so here goes...
SJS618-5 Sickle SWFltHeadJig (red hook)WHITE Head 1/8 oz.
SJS114-5 " " " WHITE Head 1/4 oz.(MARKED)
SJS138-5 " " " " " 3/8 oz.
The 5 is the number of hooks in a pack. I paid $3.49 per pack plus $5.00 for shipping to my front door. I just noticed that the last two digits in the stock number are the weight. I ordered mine over the phone as I couldn't find them in any stores. 720/941/9400
Note: I probably will not order the red hooks again as I feel the paint affects the sharpness of the hook. Hope this helps.

I found an 800 number for them 800-941-2029.
The guy who maintains their website was updating it and left for a 3+ week vacation with the site down. I know if I left on vacation leaving my employers website busted my vacation would be a lot longer than 3 weeks!
Anyway the girl I spoke to couldn't help me based on a description, but said she'd send a catalog. But I'll call Monday with the part numbers MP posted (thanks).
I hope these things are worth the effort. Thanks again
A follow up on my original post.
On the SJS618-5 I'm guessing that the "6" is for the red hook. If you want the plain hook try SJS118-5(?).
I fished the SJS618 / Berkley PowerBait 4" Power Pogy / Berkley 14# FireLine today for a half hour. It cast pretty good for a 1/8oz. big plastic lure. Two things that you want to watch are, 1- it takes a decent forward lure speed to get the boot tail to work. Move it to slow and it comes in like a stick. 2- picture that you are looking at the lure from the side with the lead to the right. If your line is tied at the 12 oclock position the lure tends to tip down and come in like a crankbait. Moveing the tie position to 3 oclock seems to make the lure swim in a more natural way.
