doc,
I have a mini-atlantis and the thing works like a champ. The only complaint I have is the screen is small. The best things are it comes in a self containing padded heavy duty plastic carring case that fits perfect in a storage compartment so it's all ways within reach.

made sure i never leave home without the aqua veiw i bolted it to the boat, so where ever the boat goes the camera goes.

They work.
I have sat on a school of fish, not catching any, for a while thinking they were walleyes...put the camera down and saw the fish my locater was showing were actually suckers. So, then I was relieved to realize my fishing prowess was still grade "A" because...I was fishing for walleyes! LOL
I have an OVS and I have no complaints with it.

They do work, and are worth the money. I've been using the OVS camera for two years and love it. They have the slickest setup for keeping your camera postioned and they do it by way of an adjustable ratchet that clamps on the cable.

I had my new aqua view out this weekend ice fishing. I wasn't so sure what to think when I first put it in the water, not much on the screen (I'm not sure what I was expecting to see). As I let out more and more cable all of a sudden there was the bottom of the lake. It was very impressive. I could see better than I had expected at that point. I cann't wait to get it into the boat!! It was a lot of fun and worked very well. I had put on a jig and watched the action as I played with different jigging styles, very intresting to say the least. I would have to say this is one of the most useful and fun christmas gifts I have ever recieved. Thanks Honey!!!!
I wouldn't ever recommend buying the attachable screen (which is supposed to blow up the image on the screen). It didn't work very well at all and was built very cheap.
Good Luck and Good Fishing!

They do work with one caveat, the clearer the water the better they work. In stained water like Lake of the Woods they are of limited usefulness, however in clear water like Mille Lacs or Lake Michigan they are great. You might want to consider what your primary use will be before you purchase one. Just my $.02.
Take care and good fishing,

I prefer underwater cameras for ice fishing as oppose to Muskie fishing. The only time I can see there usefulness in Muskie fishing is to see structure.
