faster line retrieve 17lc or 27lc?

i was wondering if the smaller sealine 17lc had a faster or slower line retrieve then the 27lc, the 27 has a gear ratio of 4:2:1 and the 17 has a 5:1:1 gear ratio, im not sure what that means exactly, thanks.

The 5.1:1 ratio means the 17 will have a faster retrieve but less power than the 27 with its 4.2:1. The ratio means the number of revolutions of the spool for each revolution of the handle.

True, but remember that the 27 has a bigger spool also. 4.2 revolutions of the 27 will likely be more actual line than 5.1 revolutions of the 17... I don't have the spool sizes right here, but that would be the case I think.
