I am looking to get a rod for deadsticking. Anyone have any recomendations of which rod to get? I would like to stay below $60 if possible. I saw that Cabelas has a soft 9' zander rod that might work - does anyone have any experiece with this rod? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've been using a 9-foot Cabela's Fish Eagle II steelhead spinning rod the past couple years -- medium light action, I believe.
I picked up a second one, because it not only works well for my deadsticking applications, but suits many of my slip bobber (and fixed bobber) needs, too.

I use the Bass Pro Shops DeadStick rod. Its has good length to get the lure away from the boat and very nice flex.

Would a noodle rod work for this type of fishing?
