Lowrance lock up... [Archive] - Walleye Message Central

Hello,

Lately I have been having trouble with my LMS-480 locking up from time to time. Is this common? Is there someting I should or should not be doing? When it happens, I have not been able to "unlock" it so I end up shutting it off and then turning it back on.

Anyone have experience with this, I sure could use the help.

I had the same thing happen to 2 different 480s.I took the second one back and spent the xtra 100 bucks for the 332. The technology and color were well worth it!

There was a software glitch on some of the early LMS-480 units. Call Lowrance. They have an update for it.

I downloaded the upgrade off of the Lowrance web page and it seems to have rectified my problems. Thanks for the help.
