how can you fatten up leeches before a fishing trip

feed them dead minnows, and keep the water fresh every few days. keep a jug in the frig with the leeches, when out fishing keep them packed in ice then you can bring them back and use them again on future trips. Take care of them and they'll last a long time.

Try giving them a piece of raw liver. Overnight they will suck all the blood out of the liver. It will turn white. Try it , it really works.

Do you have to warm them up so they feed or just put the liver in their container in the fridge?

One of the major commercial suppliers in our area uses cow brains for food. No, it doesn't make them any "smarter" !!
