Are these plastics simular? I see Kinami's but have not seen Senko's in the stores by me.

they are the same exact thing. gary yamamoto (sp?) owns the senko company and his son derick owns kinami. most cases you will find kinami in most chain stors, while yamamoto is more in tackle shops. (no compition this way). i believe at one time they were even made in the same plant untill derick got going.
