I am looking to pick up a new baitcast reel for bottom bouncing and maybe jigging. I usually like Diawa baitcasters but it doesn't appear that any are made with flipping switches anymore. Can you guys recommend a reliable one with a good drag system? I would like to keep it $100 or less if possible.
Thanks
Jim

Quantum Accurist 500's are available in either left or right hand models.Mine double as bass reels or bottom bouncer reels.

Check the Daiwa TP33P or TP33SH. They should meet your needs.

Shimano has no flippin switches on any reels. That was what I originally wanted was a bantam.

Shimano would be my only choice and they do make a flipping reel. The Castaic. You can check it out at www.shimanofishing.com Click on the baitcast reel bar at the top of the page.

If you could lay your hands on one of Shimano's old BMK200FS reels, out of production for quite a few years now, you'd have the best flippin' reel ever made. Some of mine are 12 to 15yrs old and still work as good as the day I bought them.

Daiwa came out with a new one this year, the MEGAFORCE 150i.
Flipping switch, light weight, smooth and fits in the palm of your hand. Retail for about $70. I bought a pair of them for Bottom bouncing. Ordered two Bass Pro Extreme, 7' Med. rods to go with them.
I can't buy just one. Then of course I have to have new rods to match. It just goes on, and on, and on. LOL. All kidding aside, I am a Shimano user, but I think the Daiwa is a great reel also.
