Does anyone use these for walleye fishing? Also when do you use them and how, in lakes or rivers? Thanks to all who answer. JJ

I just picked some up, along with some Walleye Assassin Shads, to add to my arsenal for Detroit River vertical jigging. I finally convinced myself last year that I could catch fish on jigs and plastic (in this case, powerbait) without live bait. These will be something new to add to the bag of tricks.

Thanks for the info. Where do you get walleye assissan shads from? JJ

I got my Walleye Assassins at a Meier department store here in Michigan. I'm not sure how widespread they're distributed.

You should be able to find them in most well stocked tackle stores. If not they should be able to order them for you.
I have used them for several years on the Detroit River with great success. So much so in fact that I usually run a 50/50 split when jigging over there. Minnow on one, and plastic on the other with about equal results.
Be sure to check out next months issue of In-Fisherman for some rigging options in the article about stinger hook use.
