Does anyone have a web reference for the dive curve for Rapala's TDD 11s (the Deep Tail Dancer)? Short of that, does anyone have a valid email address to contact Rapala for same info? TDD 11s are not included in the 7th edition of Precision Trolling. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can't help you.
I picked up a deep tail dancer, and I'm looking for the dive curve, also.
Anyone?
Thanks.

I heard and read here that they will be similar to the deep diving reef runner. Use that as a reference for now and go out and give it a try and adjust accordingly.

20 back = 10ft
60 back = 17ft
100 back = 23ft
160 back = 28ft
200 back = 29ft
Ran them for 2 days beside partners Reef Runners on Erie this weekend. RR took 13 fish and Raps's produced 1 pullback. It wasn't a color issue either, we didn't catch more than 2 fish on the same color and fished a variety of colors. Smallest fish day 1 was 26"s with 4 over 30"'s, day 2 we had a few throw-backs and 0 over 10 so all size fish got looks at it. I obviously wasn't impressed with them. I ran each color they make for 45-90 mins and doctored some up to match the RR. Not bashing just giving an honest report on a lure that I had high hopes for. Dive curve was provided by a factory rep in MN. By the end of the trip it was 4 RR for us. I tried spoons as well, but plastics RULE!

Thanks for the report. I telephoned Mark Romanack for info and he said Rapala would soon release a new version of the Rapala Tacklebox Guide that would contain the TDD 11 dive curve as well as dive curves for other new Rapalas. Mark also confirmed maximum depth for the TDD 11 was 29 feet with 200 feet of line.
