Fish numbers

How many walleyes (per acre average) would need to reside in a reservoir to sustain what might be considered an "average to good" walleye fishery. Say a western type reservoir, similar to Sakakawea.
I realize there are many variables with forage base, etc. But some rough comparisons surely must be available, somewhere.
