Has anyone tried adding front weight to the offshore boards to get the nose of the board down.

When I pull 2 to 3 oz bouncers and worm harness, the front of the board rides to high and the board cant plane out to the side properly. I'm thinking if I could add some weight towards the front it may help, any suggestions on doing this.

Cheers,

Remove the lead weight and cut out the plastic that was in front of the weight so it can be moved forward. Used a Dremel tool. Drilled three extra holes in the side of the board so you can remove the screw holding the weight in and slide up and put the screw back in. Check my photo below. This way you can adjust it to where it works best for you. If you put it all of the way to the front, you will find that it will bob up and down when trolling below 2 mph in calm water.
