Could someone tell me when the best time to be on water? When the barometer is falling or rising. I know standard barometric pressure is 29.92". How far from this standard is the best? Thank You.

greg, search the archives under "Barometric Pressure". There have been many opinions on this over the years.
Oh, and to answer your first question; The best time to be on the water is; whenever you can!

Falling barometer is best--right before an incoming storm. High pressure, right after the storm on cold front is typically worse.
maaannnn...i wish i had a buck for everytime i was asked that question!
my answer seems to never change. although there might one or the other level that is best, and you can plan around that, no problems.
but...i have to say, that for every high or rising level that shut them down, there has been as many that didn't change it one way or the other. same with a low or falling level. i have seen it affect things both ways. IF it does have a negative affect on your fishing on a given day, somewhere, somehow, there IS a way to catch plenty of fish, all things considered. on those days, quit fishing memories and THINK.
at tournaments, no matter what the conditions are, SOMEBODY always figures it out. THINK and the conditions won't beat you.
