The transducer for my pinpoint got pretty scratched last year. A wake pushed the boat over to where rocks kind of chewed on it over lunch. It still works, but I was wondering how much scratching the transducer can take? Should I get a new one? Thanks.

Unless it has gouges that might change the water flow , you should be ok as it is high freq . sound the transducer emits .
We have seen paint , algae growth , etc not have much effect .
Steel Wool can clean up the plastic with a little elbow grease .
Hope this helps,
