The first week of Ausgust I will be on Lake Biscostising, and I've never been to Canada fishing before. Any help as to tactics, bait, tackle, etc. would be helpful. It is a tea-colored shield lake with walleye, pike, and perch. Any help from the old hats for this newbie would be appreciated.
Boy did you ever open up a can of worms! I can't believe you've had 47 views and no replies. You can usually find walleyes around reefs. I have two tackle boxes full of stuff, but my old-stand-by has always been a Lindy rig tipped w/ a minnow or leach if I'm trolling and a 3/8 oz. jig if I'm still fishing. Fire tiger and chartreuse seem to work best in stained water. Pike will hit just about anything (spinner baits are good), fish for them like bass. Fish for perch like you would crappie. If you have a good topo map of the lake, troll over sunken islands w/ a diving lure. The idea is to make the lure "tick" off the top as it passes. Every time I go, I seem to find a couple of techniques that work and stick w/ them the whole time.
I hope this at least gives you somewhere to start. Good luck - Stu
