Good Day Gents,

The family and I are going to try fishing at Seminoe next week. I am looking for what area to fish and what those fish like to bite. Also looking for other thinks that the family can do in that area. More than likely we will be at the state park for our HQ. Will have the boat and all my walleye gear and what trout gear I have.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
JT

PS: thanks for any help in locating those walleye in seminoe

I fished and camped there for my first time a couple of weeks ago. The campgrounds were nearly empty and the res. is so big you rarely see another boat. We fished the medicine bow arm from just inside the mouth to several miles back. We caught a good amount of 12"-16" walleye drifting crawlers and leeches on the bottom in 8-14' of water over the sand bars. Most people, it seems, fish for trout there and I think most of the mammoth walleye (over 25 lb a few weeks back) caught there are caught by trout fisherman, usually pulling something like spinners/crawlers a few feet down over deep water.

Be careful out on the water and make sure your equipment is in good working order. That Wyoming wind can turn that res. into the North Atlantic in no time and like I said there is virtually no traffic or services on the lake to help in case of an emergency.
