Just wondering if anyone has ever tried keeping there leeches, and then feeding them etc. Did they increase in size? And if so, how long did it take?
Thinking about trying it, but not sure what temp to keep the water. I figure you could feed them any type of raw meat.
Thanks for any help...Travis

Pikeman, I hope ya get some answers. The girl at the bait shop told me to just change the water every few days.I did about a week apart. Then last sat. i thawed some liver to take the kids cattin. You know the rest. But when the liver was brought up to about the same temp as my fridge, i poured in chicken liver blood and a piece of nice liver.Dead as a mackerel.Killed em all. I have no idea why! Maybe the sudden addition of nourishement shocked their systems. ??
I have a 100 gallon bait tank with a filter and airation that I keep minnows in and keep leeches in a leech tamer bag in the same tank. I put a couple minnows in the leech bag every few days and the leeches are doing great.

Leeches do not need to be feed. They will live all year long without food. They will shrink in size though. Keep em in a leech bag which helps them stay clean and change the water often.
