Found this on Ebay and was wondering what you guys think about this boat?

I already posted it on the Boats and Motors board but really would like some feedback and this board is a bit more active.

What is the reserve on this boat I didn't see what reserve it would take to get the boat that would help people tell you if it is a good deal. Good luck

The trailer doesn't appear to be Trailstar which would be the OEM. If you look closely at the expanded picture of the boat sitting on the trailer you will see the bunks in the correct position at the transom but the bow eye appears to be a long way from the bow stop. Wrong trailer? I would say so...On the other hand if you can buy it cheap enough you can trade that trailer in for the right one. I would definitely want to talk to the seller and find out the history of this boat before I bid. I do like the color...

Thanks for the replies.

He told me the reserve price is $9,500.00.

I just got an email back from the seller on Ebay and here is what he said about the trailer.

"THE BOAT IS BRAND NEW IT IS SITTING ON A 20' TRAILER WHICH 1900 TARGA AND 20' TARGA FITS THE SAME TRAILER I JUST DIDN'T MOVE THE TOUNGE BACK TO THE BOAT. IF YOU WOULD LIKE I CAN GET TARGA TRAILER 1900 THAT COMES WITH SURGE BRAKES AND STEEL WHEELS. THIS TRAILER PULLS BETTER MOVES BOAT BACK ALITTLE WAYS FROM TOWING VECHILE AND COMES WITH DISC BRAKES MAG WHEELS . I THINK THIS IS A NO BRAINER WHICH TRAILER I WOULD WANT THANKS NORM"

Check out the bass pro web site. It will have the boat/motor/trailer/package together. You can then subtract the cost of the motor and rigging, and get an idea if this is a good deal. If memory serves me correct a 1900 goes for around 22.5K with a 150. Best you check out current prices. The full windshield is an option (about $300-350).

One question you may want to ask. Why were they floating this boat in water without a motor on it? This boat has a WOOD transom, and the motor bolt holes are drilled at the factory--so the lower mounting holes were probably under water.

If you check out the other items this seller has up on ebay, he has a Fisher FX18DV and trailer (same boat as Targa 1900) as a dealer repo. Yet it is sitting on a single axle Nitro trailer. The 1900 and Fx18DV were ALWAYS equipped with nothing but tandem axle trailers. (?????)
