Hi,
Can you reccommend something in either Oh, Mi, NY, Ind, Penn
Been to Lake Chataqua, Lake George, Several State parks in Ohio(Salt Fork,Deer Creek, Bur Oak), would like to try somewhere new. What do we need? Cabin on the lake with dock to bring our boat, Swimming(beach prefered but not neccesary), tubing, skiing, lotsa fishing, clean 2-4 bedrooms. Tennis and shopping nearby would be a bonus(for the girls). Been looking on the internet but that could take me a long time. Looking for some personal reccomendations.
Thanks much,
David

David - I've got a condo in Green Cove on Western Lake Erie that I am renting. It's one bedroom, but it has a 30' boat dock, heated swimming pool, tennis court, and direct lake access. There's lots of shopping in the nearby Port Clinton area, and on the islands. Shoot me an email if you're interested (solinrf@yahoo.com), or I can hook you up with someone else if you need a 2 BR unit.

Geneva State Park on Lake Erie Ohio, Has cabins and Lodge, beach, dockage in Marina, Wineries near by. Short drive to Erie Pa. Little longer drive to Cleveland for a ball game and shopping.
Call 1800 at a park. for Ohio infor. Maumee bay state park cabins and lodge near Toledo and Western Basin fishing. Few docks near lodge.
Port Clinton Chamber of commerce is good to locate lodgeing and marinas with boat slips and Cottages.
Green Cove Condo would be nice near Davis Besie power plant. Very close to Reef fishing area wester basin Erie.
What time of year are you going. The fishing is better later in the summer eastern lake Erie Geneva, Ashtabula area.
How about Yougstown, Wilson, Olcott, New York. Fish for Kings, Coho, Lakers, SteelHead.
Drive to the Falls, Outlet shopping,
One of my favorites is Kellys Island, Condo on an old quary, some nice large mouth, smallies and gill in there. Short walk to docks across the street. Pool, night life, (not as crazy as South Bass Island) much more family oriented. Lots of cottages in area, Crafts cottages has a Marina I use but I stay in the Condos.
Kellys Island Chamber. Each Condo is privately owned and most rent indivually. Not hard to do though.
I vote for Kellys Island. Beside the quarry fishing, try Erie for walleye/smallies of course.
