'Eyes in Tempe?? I lived there for several years and that would be news to me. Heck, that was the whole reason I got out of there!! Lots of bass and catfish to have fun with.

Easy to get a guide on Roosevelt, about 100 miles from Tempe. Lots of big, big crappie. Call a local sportings good store in Phoenix area, they will give you all the info you need.

I have heard of some stoogies around Apache, sounded like just stocked shorties. 12lb'er?!? I also heard of some up around Prescott in the stream pools where the trout are. I'd like to see that 12 lb'er.

He seems to catch lots of big fish.

That Show Low fish was actually over 17 lbs. Small lake which seems to consistently produce large walleye. Apache and Canyon will be your best options close to the valley. We just had a good stocking in Apache so give it two years.
