I was doing a search on lighted planer boards. I came across www.lighteningboards.com. I was wondering if anyone in cyber space has used them and what was their opinion. Thanks for your information.

i've never heard of those, but you might want to look into the new lights that bruce deshano came out with. both bruce and rich tested these new lights for awhile now... with 2 colors you can tell which board is which.

Wait awhile

As of a year ago they still needed some work. They leak and fill with water and better snaps are needed. They also didn't pull to the side as well as Church and Off Shores.

Heard the snaps were upgraded but I haven't seen them yet. Great idea though and if they improve them they'll give Offshore and Church some competition.

since this picture was taken i've put a small piece of plastic tubing on the flag where the light was and stick the light into the end of the tubing. thats a thill bobber light and it works very well to both keep track of your boards and give you a visual if the flag goes down.

when we lose the 2nd. amendment the others will be history too!

The lightening board has a different glide than the other boards....but that is one feature that interested me......the fish-on feature is definitely a unique and works on trout/salmon......and in dark makes this board far above the rest......the leakege of the battery compartment isn't a problem if you don't over torque the screws.....the tow release I replaced with "willy's"...It isn't perfect, but in time will be a serious contender......Have used mine in special applications for over a year now......another tool/lure in the box.

ND,

"willy's" p-board? - orig disc or snapper release? - something else? Interested in more detail if something else.

Thanks,

It is the "SNAPPER" release.......With adjustable tension and a selective pin to catch the line or not......I have replaced this release as a tow arm on all my Offshore's boards as well.....It is a whole lot more cofortable with cold fumbling fingers.....About fifteen bucks for a pair.

The Snapper release (OR-18) is an Off Shore Tackle product...not Willy's.

Just thought that needed to be corrected in case someone wanted to look for them, or buy them for their own boards.
