Does anyone know of a good article/tutorial that is availiable on the net etc. on how to tie bucktails and streamer flys ?

Here's one explaination. Buy some colored buck tail. Cut a length a little longer then you want it to end up. I use a slip knot and about 12 inches of thread. I like red thread but do make some with black and some with green, any way, bunch the hair near the neck of the jig and put the slip knot around your fingers and pull down tight until it slips off and grabs the hair not too close to the end. Pull tight and make your winds, a dozen or so. Put a small loop of mono by the end your working on and make the last 4 or 5 winds and then put the end of the thread through the loop. Pull the mono and the end of the line will pull through. Trim any hair in front of the thread with an exacto knife and trim anything else with your scissors and finish with a clear water proof coating and let dry.
