It will be at Seminole Resevoir the weekend of August 18-20th. We will have to decide later in the year where we will meet and camp? I have never really fished Seminole, so I will have to learn more about it before we choose a spot.
This gives everyone eight months to plan and schedule vacation time.
Neal, No "l" in Seminoe. Although I haven't made it to a get-together yet, I'd have to vote for the North Red Hills campground as the place to meet/camp.

I have no idea where that is? But you are the second person I have heard mention it! I have fished Pathfinder about a half dozen times and it is the best trout fishery I have ever fished!!!!!! But I have never really fished Seminoe. Obviously people are tired of Glendo, so we will try some place different this time.
North Red Hills is the larger of the two state park campgrounds with boat ramps.

Does it happen to have a pavilion or some kind of central meeting area?
If I remember correctly it has at least one covered group picnic area, maybe more, it's been a while since I've been there. You'll find it comparable to Pathfinder as a trout fishery.

Go to this link. It is an aerial view of North Red Hills Campground.
I have never been able to attend one of these but there is always hope for this year. I'm not sure about any of the improvements since it has been quite a few years since I've been to Seminoe. The aerial photo is from 1994, so there could be quite a few changes.

If the link doesn't work just delete everything after .com and navigate there on your own.

Spent a few day this past summer at Seminoe. The Red Hills is a good choice. I think they have a group area near the playground. No power at that campground so bring power with you. Also make sure kids and other are aware of the Rattle snakes that can be HEAVY at times.

Hi Neal
Sounds good. I've never fished Seminoe so it should be fun. I should make it this year. Had a great trip to Australia and New Zealand (why I missed last summer). 4 days of flyfishing in NZ were spectacular. One day I landed 10 trout, browns and rainbows, AVERAGE 4.3 pounds- on 5X tippets! What a blast. I'll send you some photos.

Neal,
Seminoe sounds good, I put it in my calendar. Never been there, but it looks good from a satellite (thanks, Mike!) ;-)
Steve: Good to see you had some luck on your travels. I've been to that part of the world, but never had an opportunity to fish (only scuba). It sure is nice there, though.
Looking forward to seeing more folks at the get together this year...
