I know this off of the subject of eye fishing but what better group to pose a towing vehicle question to than than guys who do it all of the time. I am looking at a new Chevy 2500HD Ext Cab. with the 6000 engine. Does anyone have any experiance as fare as mileage with or without pulling anything.
Thanks,
Bear
Absolutely great truck, but with any truck that size, the mileage isn't the greatest, but I would say it is average when compared to other vehicles in its class. You won't find one with more power in my opinion, but make sure you need all that power becuase you sure do pay for it!

13 - 14 MPG, but I only have 3000 miles on the truck so far.

12 seems to be it...I chose to go with the 4.10 rearend which gives an engine rpm of 2250 at 65. So far, 3400 miles, the truck is fantastic...if your purchasing in the twin cities email me and I can set you up with one of the best fleet managers around.

Yep, 12-14 seems to be what I'm averaging. 4.10 gears are standard in the 2002's with the 6.0, and 3.73's aren't an option anymore. I wouldn't get 3.73's anyway with that truck. So far so good.

Thanks for the info guys. That is about what I figured. Picking it up tonight. It don't have the ride of a Sub. but it pulls so much better.
