Has anyone used one of the Garmin color GPS units or Lowrance color locators yet. Are they viewable in direct sunlight? I am wondering if they are worth the money. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I've got the Garmin 2010 but in the monochrome. I thought about the color which would be nice, but I couldn't justify the extra thousand or so to look at a GPS chart in color. The detail for Erie with the Bluechart chip is incredible though in the monochrome.
I'm still running my LMS 350A as my sonar and now as a backup GPS. Whenever I go to a new sonar I plan to put the money into a color unit on the Sonar side.
