How is the fishing on this stretch of the river. I am looking at a job in the area and always have to think about what's really important.
Thanks

The fishing is usually pretty good on this stretch however there are many areas below the dams at Nekoosa, Petenwell, Castle Rock, and Dells that are difficult to navigate. The area between the Castle Rock dam and the Dells dam may be the worst. The levels are too low it always seems. You can however catch just about anything from the Wisconsin River. Check out the Hotspots Maps--they have all the maps for each stretch of the river from dam to dam. If you need more info just post again and I'll give you my email address.

Lots of small walleyes in that system right now. Lots of pressure. Good white bass and some smallmouth, pike and musky also. Scads of carp.

Petenwell, Dells, Lake Wisconsin, Fox, Wolf, Winnebago,Green Bay, all close. Take the job, make sure you have time to fish. Lots of good eatin eyes and some piggies too. Enjoy,
