I was just curious to how you liked the Mitchell Avocets after using them last year? I bought one last year and used it a little bit and it worked well. Gander Mountain has them on sale for 19.99 and I was considering getting more of them at that price. It sure seems like a lot of reel for $20. Any input on the reels would be appreciated.

I love those reels!

They have a very smooth drag system, maybe the best of any reel in that price range. You can't go wrong with them.

They had these reels at Scheels day after thanksgiving door buster for $9.99. couldn't help myself!! had to get a couple!!

I love the Avocett GOLD. The silver is not nearly as good of quality.

I won one (a Gold) at a Walleyes Unlimited banquet last year... but have never tried it.

I got mine at Gander in Woodbury. Had at least a dozen on the shelf.
