We have no safe ice and no open water. It's lent and my wife bought fish-sticks. This is driving me crazy.
i'd find a wife that can fish! lol lol

Brushpile where are you located? We have 12" of good ice on the small lake by us. No eyes but some nice crapies and bluegills. Hey Oshkosh guys; Is anything doing in the river? With the weather the way it is a launch or two should be open.

Mother nature stacked the weather against most of the ice fishing here in Michigans lower Pennisula also. Most be Miller time when your wife pulls up in a Mercedes with a box of stixs? Two steps short of a slip bobber and waders myself!!!

My suggestion would be to make those Lenten fish sticks as sporting a proposition as possible.
Prop open that freezer door, grab your favorite jig rod, step back about 10 or 20 paces and cast to the freezer for those little buggers.
They may not fight much -- but at least they're cleaned when you catch 'em. -- mark
