BowMount Transducer Help

I have a MinnKota Powerdrive on the bow and I mounted a transducer to the bottom of it. I'm looking for a good way to run the wire up the motor so it won't get pinched near the pivot point and still allow the motor to be adjusted up and down.

Just attach the cable to the shaft with plastic ties and leave some
slack in the cable near the top. I did this with my last one and it worked great.
