I am looking at getting some planer boards and am wondering what everyone has and what they like and dislike about them. I have never used them and want to expand my arsenal for walleyes. Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I have used the big boards with mast, but didn't really care for how they ran at slow speeds. I always had the offshore inline boards with tattle flag but bought another set and I just use them now. I use Blue Fox Firefly bobber lights for night time fishing thill lights also work can turn them both on and off. What I did is drilled a hole the exact size of the light right in fornt of the flag so you can tell if there is a hit at night then I take the light out when done so they don't turn on in the compartment. I also took the normal clips of the board and used metal church board clips so on long days your fingers don't hurt and I needed more snap weight clips. Good Luck!

Offshores are probably most popular but I prefer the Church "mr. walleye" boards. For me, they are just plain easier to use when fishing single handed and you dont have to upgrade the clips for superlines like you do with the offshores.
My 2 cents.

OK! Where do I get these clips? I'm sick of double looping my fireline. I prefer to order online. Thanks.

Church has a new board TX-22 it rides a little higher in the water and has a little less drag then the Walleye Board.

I see there's a couple different model clips, which ones for firelines and braids?

Got two sets of Church boards last season after years of the yellow boards, and have not regreted the decision. Ride better, better clips, better flag setup, all around better board IMO.

I think the Offshore boards are much better in rough water than the others. If you fish a lot of big water, I'd recommend Offshore.
The clips are fine when you use mono, which is just what most of the Pro's use. I think you'll lose some fish on the braided lines that you would catch on mono. Cranks can be
pulled out pretty easy on a no strech line.
JMHO.
