I would get the offshore snapper releases, they will solve all of your problems for braid, 4-6 footers, leadcore or thin mono. They are a little pricey but well worth it in my opinon, Check out the offshoret tackle site for details I think they are the OR-18's

The OR-18's are good clips. I just bought some for my boards. You can tighten the bottom screw to put more pressure on the cam and it holds fire lines or braids. They were 10.00 a piece at Gander and 13-15 everywhere else.

The Church clips are much easier to use IMHO. I run them on the front of my Offshore boards with the red (with pins, OR?) clips on the rear. They almost never come loose and if they do the rear clip pin keeps them on the line.

What I do is put the line through and do a half wrap and put the line through again, so the line tightens on the snap. It works with church and offshore clips but I prefer church clips.

church clips are far better IMO, guys are trolling up to 200 yards of 27 lb lead core behind them without having to add line twist. Used them on church boards with the spring flags and will never put a yellow board in the water again.

OR-18's & if you do one loop/wrap there is no such thing as loosing a board. I've never had a board come loose yet in 4 to 5's on Erie.
