Johnnie,
read an article about the twin trolling system using 2 small wave tamers off the front cleats. Just wondering your input on how this system works. I have a 90 h.p. Merc wanted to use this system to help slow me down. Thanks

The twin bag system is by far the best way to slow your boat down when trolling. Not only does it help with speed control, but it anchors the bow of you boat and creates a pivot point to make steering in windy conditions a breeze. (Nice pun don't ya think.)
By placing the bags under the boat about 1/3 the distance from the bow, you will be able to quarter into waves or troll the shore lines with waves crashing into them. The bow stays put instead of going where the wind pushes it.
I can't say enough about the system. It works great with a kicker and awesome with the big motor. I can shave about 1 mph off the speed of my 225 Opti with the twin 30 inch Wave Tamers. I am sure it will do the job for your 90. Just think, all the money you saved not having to buy a kicker will buy a lot of Shad Raps!!!
Best of luck.
