I just picked up a new garmin 60 CX. I fish mainly in northern minnesota, wisconsin, and ontario. What would be the best mapping software for me to get?? One that has the most lakes in this area, has the most detail, and is upgradable?? Thanks for any input.

I just picked up the same unit, I fish in the same areas you mentioned and have the same question regarding lake maps. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know Navionics has really nice maps but I don’t believe they are compatible. I asked Jeff Brodeur from Navionics this question on the General Discussion board with no response yet.

So I’m no help to your question Trollinguru, but I too am looking for help.

Navionics maps are not compatible with Garmin units.

For Garmin, go to their website at the link provided and you'll see there are 3 options for freshwater anglers - Lakemaster maps, inland lakes, and rec. lake with FHS.

Lakemaster maps would be your top choice where available.
