Do you loop or tie your line to the clip (off shore 14 and the red ones also) or wiggle it between those two little teeth in the back? I cant get the clips to stay in one spot.

Switch to using the Church releases or the snappers from OffShore. They will hold much better.

Until you upgrade clips, you can put the line through the pads & loop one side over the top and across the pad again. It can be difficult or easy to do. IMO, seems to work better with red than black.

I haven't looked at one of your type clips for awhile but if I remember correctly, spring slides to adjust tension.

Never done it myself but some twist a loop in the line and pinch the entire loop and twist in the clip for some applications.

Church is easier to use, Snappers last forever.

Good Luck,

Off shore OR-18's are what you want. Good clips.

LIGHTLY,scuff your pads with medium sandpaper until you upgrade to snappers...This will help hold your line...Works well with downrigger pinch-pads too..........

Buy some Church clips, they do not slip even with lead core.

I used church clips for the first time this weekend and had to turn around and retrieve two boards after fighting a fish and having them pop off. I'll stick the the red off-shore clips. What type of main line are you using? They work quite well with my 10lb. xt.

they don't really slip with mono and most guys that have slipping issues normally have the braided lines. If you don't want the board to come off your line, either use mono or you have to loop your braided line around the clip twice.

Nothing beats church clips for ease of use and non slipping red offshore clips although very good will slip in time unlike church which seem to last
