going to canada in a couiple weeks, leaving a day earlie3r than planned, going thru park. any lakes close that I can get my gf into some fish without needing a day to find them? I should be there around noon or so, we'll be staying the nite there.

Big Sand is a slot lake that can be hit or miss - nice fish if it's a hit day. The quality fish are worth the effort to try IMO. If you fish BS - fish it deep - 27-33 ft as a starting point. It's a clear lake, nice access, but no dock.
Long Lake is on the edge of town and a good fish as well.
I haven't fished most of the lakes close to PR - there are lots of them, many with what I'd suspect to be good fishing.
Unfortunately, the bait shops in town are a little tight lipped. If you suggest where your going, they will expose what is working, if you don't commit your conversation to a specific lake, they tend to keep their opinions to themselves. They do have the best bait in the area though.
