Is Spider Wire Super Mono and Trilene XT the same ?

I was going to buy some 4# Spider Wire Super Mono and when I read the package it said it was made in Spirit Lake Iowa, the same address as where they make Berkley Products. I have had major problems the past year with Trilene Fishing Lines and want to stay away from it. Can anyone tell me if it is all the same stuff with different packaging ? Do they make Gamma in 4 pound test? Thanks for the help. Jim

All Pure Fishing lines are made with different formulas, they are not just the same lines in different packages.

XT and Spider are like planets apart. Spider is closer to XL.

I don't like XT at all, and I've had problems with some XL this year too. XT is make a lot thicker than it used to be made.

I've been trying the Maxxima Perflexion and I like it a lot. Even bought some for my line counters. It's more money, A big spool is the same price as XL, but you only get 600 yards. 40% more money.
