Hi,
This has been my best season yet in Ohio waters.Have only been out 4 times and have caught fish each time.Would love to fish for them every day but with the cost of gas and amount of fish I slowed down. However we have had 5 posts with 106 replies and 5,425 hits here on Walleye Central. With the great posts and replies there was a lot of guys or gals going out for the first time and were able to catch fish due to the information from this site.We may have 1to 2 weeks yet before they head to Canada so keep sending in your info.

May I be fishing somewhere Tomorrow

I will add a big "attaboy" to all those who have contributed to the erie steelie thread as well.I live about two and a half hours drive ($65.00 in truck fuel r.trip) from avon pt. and its good to know ahead of time whats going on and where it is happening!
So thanks SO MUCH to those who keep after the fish and report back.I have never met most of you but I'd sure buy you a beer (or two)...
I have introduced several guys to erie steelheading over the last few years that had never done it before and nearly all of them are crazy about it now!Its a real treat to hear the reels scream and see the bullits jump all over "H"isnt it!..After trolling up little 18"~22" eyes in the western basin it sure makes your heart race when a fish thirty inches long comes three feet out of the water doesn't it!...Keep after those bullits and keep up the great reports guys.....Wahoo

Hi Wahoo,
I know what it is to only fish on Weekends.(Work).Being Retired and fishing the flat days we can cover a lot more water.I am really luck that I fish with 2 guys that can fish hard and most important find a way to catch them after we find them.Fishing with Bill Shank and Bob Sattler can't be beat.Bills blue Lund has everything on it and Bill is the one that finds the fish.A lot of the reports and info are being given by our members of wbsa.us . Our club says Western Basin but a lot of members are from the central basin. We have a really good group of guys and try to promote any type of fishing in Erie.
