It appears with the strong Northeast winds of last week and the cooler evenings that we have had an early turnover on Lake Erie. This turnover may have played a role in a fish kill off Euclid. (See Photos and discussion below) My questions are: 1.) Does lake turnover occur in different Lake Erie basins at different times or does the whole lake turn over at basically the same time? and 2.) When a lake such as Erie turns over, what will this do to schools of walleye, where will they relocate? Can we expect some to move closer to shore again?

I do not think that the lake has turned over yet. Yes, perhaps the surface water cooled off slightly, but it is way to early to turn over.
