Wire line trolling

Any information on this topic would be appreciated. What type of rod do you use? What the depths for each foot of line out, etc.

I use 30# 7 strand stainless wire for dipsies. You either need a roller rod or a twilli tip. Precision trolling has the dive curves.

I use 30# and 45# copper 7 strand for long lining like you would lead core. No special rod required, you just have to let all of the line out and not let the copper rest in the guides. It's deeper than leadcore. I figure 6-7' per 10 yards for 30# and 7-9' per 10 yards for 45#.
