I've been blessed with a wife who said, "Hey honey, why don't you get your boat out this week and go fishing with our dad for a long weekend." Honestly, it makes me a bit nervous to hear her say this! BUT, I am gonna get a hall pass...so my question is this. I live in Central Iowa, my dad is in Eastern Iowa. Where would anyone recommend that we should head for good walleye fishing this time of year. Looking for something smaller than an Erie, and not Mississippi pools. A small town with a good couple restaurants and a marina to keep our boats would be perfect. Any ideas for us? Any and all help / suggestions would be appreciated. If we can keep it to a 3-4 hour drive that would be perfect...
