Can a 70lb thrust Minn Kota push a 17 foot Lund Pro Angler fast enough to troll with crank baits for Walleye and for how long?

Yes and it can and the second part depends on the RC of batteries you have and the amp draw of your TM at the speed you want to maintain. One golden rule of thumb for battery life is don't discharge them more then 50% on a regular basis.
Scroll down to Section #7 for more info.

Yes you can BUT you should be concerned about the amount of time. It all depends on the speed you're going or amp draw.
You could go all day with a 24 volt system while trolling 1 mile an hour. BUT crank that speed up to 2.2 mph and you could be done in an hour or two.

That big of a motor ought to move you around @ 2-3mph. I've got a Targa 17DVR WT & my 55# PowerDrive moves me @ max 2.0mph(gps). Certain winds & currents I can get up to 3mph.
I've got a 1000CC deep cycle powering mine & on a full charge; I get about 2-2.5hrs operating time w/ almost an equal reserve.
You lose more reserve the colder it gets w/ the motor drawing max amps.

""One golden rule of thumb for battery life is don't discharge them more then 50% on a regular basis"".
Very good advice. Too many people don't take the RC of the battery into consideration when buying one. Despite the charge/discharge life cycle. 20% DC is what mans recommend
