Has anyone fished these two lakes wihtin the past year and had any success for eyes? How active is the stocking program?
I`ve fished S. Manistique Lake for the past dozen years during our annual family vacation. We usually go during late july/early august. We usually catch a few keeper sized walleye, lots of smaller pike, both LM and SM bass, alot of smallish perch and tons of panfish, (the kids). I really don`t go there for the fishing as it is alot better in SE Mich. StClair, Erie, Det River. I enjoy the relaxation and family fun that goes along with it. The DNR has a website that gives the stocking report info that you seek. S. Manistique is in Macinac co while Big Manistique is in Luce co. Here is the link.
