Does it make more sense to buy two locators or just invest in these nice swivel mounting brackets that they have out? What do you think?

When I was using my 1440 Rebel Tiller, I only have one sonar and pretty happy with it. I was so used to turning around from the Bow to look at the depth .Now I am running a Console and it make it kind of hard with the tinted Console to see the 5" Screen.x(

I got tired of swiveling and still not getting a decent look with my old myopic eyes. Bought the second one and have been catching the wife looking at the one on the console. Worth the money to me.

If you canafford it and want to then do it. A way to have two with only the extra expence of just a power cord and transducer is to mount the extra on your bow mount or what ever then just unhook the unit and hook it back up. Works great. Done it for many years until I thought I needed two.
Electronics tend to get obsolete rather quickly.
When you replace your main unit, keep the console unit for the bow.
I expect that it will be good enough to give you the information that you need.
As years have gone by, I have cycled the electronics a couple of times like this. Both for GPS units and depth finders.
I actually run three gps units.
I have two mapping units, the best one on the console. The next one on the bow and a 3rd much older non mapping unit that I use to mark fish icons or places where I have caught fish.
I don't like to clutter the main gps units with fish icons with all of the bottom contours already on the screen.
Take care
