Green Bay slot

I know that there is a stot of two fish over 23in in michigan. Is there a slot at Green Bay?

No slot on Green Bay in Wisconsin waters. IIRC there is a 15" size limit but I have never caught one under 15" on Green Bay!

Sorry reelman, the rule on Green bay, the open waters there of, as it reads in the rules, is 3 fish of any size daily. And there are fish under the size of 15inches in green bay as well.

I never really paid attention to the size limit as I let them all go anyway and if I do keep one it is going to be HUGE.

I also realize that there are fish under 15" in the Bay as I catch enough of them at DePere in spring, but once I get into the Bay all I ever catch is fish 18" and bigger. I wonder where those smaller fish go in the summer?

Actually, the slot in Mi. waters only applies to the waters of Little Bay de Noc, and in those waters an angler is allowed only one fish over 23". Tournaments held in this area generally limit boats (2 anglers) to the 2 over you mentioned because the boats must return to the Little Bay waters, regardless of where the fish may have been caught.

Orchard Frank, If a tourney is held in wisconsin and they return to wisconsin they NEVER have the slot limit in effect. In fact only if you launch out of escanaba will you have a slot. Ceder river is not in the slot area and if there was a tourney out of there, they would not use the slot. The slot up north was put in because of the hawg fest that starts in fall with the migration north.

That's what I meant by "held in this area",Should have clarified, I meant in the Escanaba/Gladstone area.
