looks like a ##### of a cold front comin our way next week could make launching very slippery, do you think we will be delayed a week?

The Saginaw River is almost out of it's banks. It will take some time for it to recede back to near normal levels. The cass has crested and the flint, the tittabawassee and shiawasee rivers are all very high and muddy. It's going to be awhile before you are going to be able to fish this system with any success.

We're entered in this tournament and was wondering the same thing. Have e-mailed the Director but no response yet. Extended forecast calls for some bitter temps after this weekend, with lows in the teens for next weekend. Could be skim ice on the river, and at best the ramps will be an icy nightmare. I'm hoping they postpone until 3/10, but then again there's no guarantee that will be any better. We do plan on fishing all the WWA and MWT events this season.

we will be fishing the wwa tourneys this year. its worth a try for something different and there is no reason to let the usfa incidents stop anyone from trying other circuits. also i hope they set the mar 3rd one to the 10th ! it doesnt look to good happy fishing

I did receive an e-mail reply from Mike. He'd indicated that skim ice would likely postpone the tournament - no mention of precipitation or simply frigid temps. Not looking forward to potentially trailering in the snow from SE Michigan and backing down icy ramps. Bring your salt!

Hey Mike (Director of Michigan WWA tournaments) hope you decide to postpone until the 10th. I believe it's going to be pretty bad this weekend, weather wise, that is. Tight Lines all, Bo #582

I was on the River Saturday. It was High, Fast and MUD. Visibility was about 6 inches. The recent Rain/Snowfall and fast rise in water level has sent all kinds of stuff downstream. I passed two tree stumps flowing down stream, along with numerous other pieces and parts hung up along the Bridge posts.

The docks at the Rust Street launch were underwater Saturday AM.
Sheephead were the Fish of the Day. The only place you could get vertical was in the eddys. I saw no one boat a Walleye. I was on the River all day. We fished downstream from the Launch. Never made it up to the Convergence or Wicks.

I think there will be Ice by Sunday...given the Cold stuff blowing in. they are taking Highs in the low twenties by Weds and Thurs. And up to 6 Inches of Snow, atleast on the west side of the State. The water Temp. is at 36 now. I knew I shouldn't have taken the Back Blade of the Tractor. Kinda like waxing the car. :(
