I was fishing for Brown and Lake Trout with a guide in Finland some time ago, and he was fishing with dipsys, and down riggers, and he was using a lure called "Canadian Wonder". Can anyone tell me if this lure is still made, or who makes it? He was looking to get some more of these, and I have looked at many tackle stores and asked many people, but no luck so far. Can anyone help me out with this one?
Thanks

Thats funny. The people in Finland import lures from this side of the ocean and we import stuff from that side.
are you talking about the canadian wiggler?. it was made out of copper tubing and was chromed and moved thru the water like a flat fish lure.....pepe

No....not the Canadian Wiggler. The Canadian Wonder is a spoon.
But, back to the Canadian Wiggler. Everybody I knew used Canadian Wigglers for walleye back in the 60's. The chrome model was by far the biggest seller. I think it was the only colour available in those days. There was a time where the Canadian Wiggler had outrigger hooks but for some reason, they were no longer installed by the company. Flat fish lures had them for a while too but I no longer see outrigger hooks on lures.
For those who don't know what outrigger hooks are, imagine a minnow lure with a belly hook. Now imagine that instead of a belly hook, there is a wire support instead and that the wire support sticks out from each side of the lure and at the end of each side of the support, there is a treble hook.
Yes....a walleye had just to look at the lure and he would get hooked.
I still have a couple of Canadian Wigglers and I plan to use them next summer. Their erratic swimming action is next to none.
