Proud Father...

Every night before climbing into bed, my 2-yr old son asks for a toy to sleep with. Tonight he asked for "Wally", and pointed to my 30" stuffed walleye toy. Must say, the kid's got great taste!

Same story in my household. Ours is just called "bassy". We also have a "trouty", but he never wants to play with that one. I think his future is pretty bright!!

My stepson was about 6 or 7 and I came home with a mess of ice-out perch and the fishes' metabolism is so slow they live all day with just some snow in the pail. Anyhow, I filled the bathtub with cold water and dumped the perch in and then went and got my boy and showed him and he was in awe!!! My wife didn't know what I was up to or she would have been in awe too!!! I went to get her and by the time I got back, there he was butt naked in the tub with the perch and chasing them around. Needless to say he was hooked...
I know the feeling you had when your little one grabbed the toy...It brings back the memories that we had that got us hooked...
My son is now in the Navy down in Texas and called yesterday and was telling me how they were catching sheepshead right by their ship...What a feeling!!!
