Has anyone out there used this oil in their outboards. They claim
that it increases fuel mpg 25%. It's made by Sterling Technologies.
and sells for 29.95 a gallon. Also wondering if anyone has a Flowmaster Muffler on their tow vehicle and if it has helped their
mpg some guys are claiming they go 60 miles farther on a tank of
gas after installing one. These things are a little pricy but if
they cut down on fuel usage the way gas costs it should be worth it.
Any feed back out there.
Thanks

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

I ran Blue marble all last season from April to October and it
performed great. I won't go back to anything else.

My brother is a serious gear head - cars/bikes and snowmobiles
but, not boats. He uses it in his Hi-perf snowmobiles and dirt bikes.
He knows a few 'southern boys' and they run it in their 'only thing in the water is the Prop' Bass boats and loved the oil.
Good enough for their XB's and Modded motors. Why not for my little Wally/Musky boat!!

First- a little background on my motor.
I run a 1986 Mariner inline 4 cylinder carburated piston ported two stroke. No nice clean reeds to smooth low end, idle and prevent
-spit back- or increase fuel economy. Recommended operating RPM of 5000-5500 and a Cabelas SS 17p prop.
I do my own winterizing/fogging and pre-season prep. Run the motor
with my old plugs to blow out the fogging gunk and to get the fresh
gas through the fuel system and put new plugs in.

The oil improved every aspect of my OLD motor.

-It smoked about 1/3rd less at idle and cold/warm start up and
nearly none above 2000 RPM
-Starts easier, cold or warm.
-Throttle response improved, especially at low speeds and to plane.
-Smoother low speed/idle operation, allowing me reduce my idle RPM
for slower trolling speeds. And less impact when putting into gear.
-Gained approx. 200rpm at WOT. I can over rev at will to 5800 RPM
tickling the trim = speed
-Improved fuel economy, not huge but, it saves me a few bucks at
the pumps.
-Faster. To plane, to top end and higher top end. Not a lot
but, you can feel it.
-Cleans the crap/gunk and carbon build up out of your motor.
I replaced my plugs three times last season from the cleaning
action and clean running of the oil. The third set are pristine.
-I use less oil.
-BIO-DEGRADABLE, for an ol' horse like mine less crap in the water
the better I feel.
-It's about the same price is most of the other synthetics.

In all areas the oil improved my engines performance-and probably
it's longevity.

The more I ran it the better my motor ran.

All I can say it has helped my motor, maybe the benefits will
be not as noticeble on newer modern motors but, for an older
engine I think it gets them running about as good as they can.
