Has anyone tried either of these yet?

Thanks,

Just got 4 of each last week.

The reels are nice, I spooled them with 20 yards of 10# mono backing and was able to get 300 yards of 15/4 Power Pro on the 5500LC. The rods are a very nice telescoping design and have an excellent handle and reel seat.

A combo that is well worth the under $200 bucks they run.

We'll see how they hold up...the rods are IM7 and should be plenty durable. I'll be running this combo side-by-side with the Tekota 300s and 7'10" Shimano Clarus Light flippin stick that was my primary combo last year. The increased backbone for the larger fish should be nice...the Fenwick rod is rated as a Medium and has what seems like a very good tip to read baits.

Hope this helps.

I have 6 of the same set up only i have the 6500lc, got them last summer and love them. I've caught steelhead and spring kings on mine and they handled it really well.

I've been runnig 6 of them with the 6500LC for the last year. Caught a ton of walleyes on them and a bunch of brown trout up to about 18lbs. So far no complaints.
